She Enriches Lives with Original African Entertainment

Tracy Mugo portrays the twisted femme fatale in INDULGE ME, a short relationship drama directed by Ian Kithinji that won the grand prize at the inaugural Machakosfest Film Festival in December 2015.Her name is Tracy Mugo and her aim is to advance original African entertainment that will increase joy and fulfillment in people’s lives.

The work of Tracy Mugo, the actress who plays diverse roles in film, television and theatre, shall be on display during the 95th Lola Kenya Screen film forum (LKSff) at Goethe-Institut in Nairobi on August 29, 2016.

Mugo starres in four of the five films made by a team of young filmmakers operating under the name Mizani/Hamba Production whose work shall be presented for peer review in the Kenyan capital.

Tracy Mugo portrays the twisted femme fatale in INDULGE ME, a short relationship drama directed by Ian Kithinji that won the grand prize at the inaugural Machakosfest Film Festival in eastern Kenya’s Machakos County in December 2015. Mugo also appears as the furious wife who resorts to witchcraft in ROLEX, a short comedy co-directed by Ian Kithinji and Henry Mutisya for the 48 Hour Film Project; as the melodramatic soap opera actress in HAPPY VALENTINES by Tyler Martindale; and as the irresistible party girl in ARE YOU HAPPY? by Henry Mutisya.

As an actress who is constantly refining her craft, Mugo says she has trained under several local and international acting gurus over the years. They include Dr Julisa Rowe (Daystar University), Neil Schell (Higher Learning, Saints), Keith Pearson (The Theatre Company), D David Morin (Hollywood Acting Master Class), Eduardo Placer (Africa Digital Media Institute), Garold Anderson (Watershed Arts, France) and Dr Dale Salvidge (North Greenville University).

Currently starring as the free-spirited Vera in the television drama, Jane and Abel on the South African pay-TV channel, DStv, Tracy Mugo also guest-starres in the medical television drama, SAINTS, besides performing in lead roles in plays and musicals by Phoenix Players, Kenya Conservatoire of Music and Kijiji Entertainment.

  1. If it comes down to looks then wonu3l&#d9;t that eliminate a whole lot of black people, some who come from two black parents, from being black?A whole lot of black people? Most black folks look black-even the light skinnded ones. For the few who don't, they become passers, if they choose.
