Los Angeles, California (USA)-based Nigerian filmmaker, theatre arts practitioner, and instructional education technologist, Akpor Otebele, was the lead trainer at the just concluded 9th annual Lola Kenya Screen audiovisual media festival, skills-development programme and marketing platform for children and youth in eastern Africa.

Otebele, who teaches film production, African cinema, and African theatre, worked alongside Prof Emmanuel Emasealu of Port Harcourt University in mentoring participants from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi in Cinematography.
Otebele is founder and festival director of Arusha African Film Festival (AAFF) in Arusha, Tanzania where he also doubles up as chief executive officer of Hakika Entertainment.
Though he lives in Los Angeles where he is director of Kultur Media, and the Actors Studio Workshop, Otebele continues to work in his native Nigeria where he has founded African Film Academy in Warri.
