Best Children’s Film Awards Initiative Invites Nominations

Stakeholders are invited to submit what they consider to be their best children’s movie, film or series based on a book in 2018 by completing an online form on the book fair’s website and then sending it to film@book-fair.com ahead of the deadline.

Launched in 2004 by the Frankfurt Book Fair, the world’s largest gathering around books that is also known by its German name Frankfurter Buchmesse, the Frankfurt Book Fair Film Awards are awarded in three categories.

Movie lovers at a lola kenya screen mobile cinema evening.The book market says it shall on October 11, 2018 gather professionals from around the world of books, film, games and new media on its THE ARTS+ platform that is expected to ‘provide insights into the particular markets, and champion the adaptation and the crossmedia co-production business’.

This year’s programme, whose motto is’A Book is a Film is a Game’, the book market says, is dedicated to new trends and developments in audio-visual storytelling, including a special focus on series based on books.

Lola Kenya Screen prepares the filmmakers of today and tomorrow.“The networking day is tailored to meet the needs of film and TV producers, new media experts like VR, AR or mixed reality professionals and games representatives, as well as agents, rights and licensing managers from the publishing industry,” the book fair says in The Frankfurt Bookmark newsletter. “Besides inspiring keynote speeches and case studies, the programme provides exclusive matchmaking sessions, as well as a pitching event dedicated to books deemed appropriate for possible serial adaption.”

The programme shall culminate in the presentation of the winners of the Frankfurter Buchmesse Film Awards 2018.
